Israel’s 77th Anniversary
July 7 @ 7:45 pm – 9:15 pm
This show tells the story of the century, 100 years of the Technion, an evening to celebrate Israel’s 77th anniversary. This is the story of a university born from a Zionist dream that transformed into a global scientific powerhouse.
Through the eyes of students, faculty, philanthropists and leaders across generations, the show chronicles groundbreaking achievements, enduring hardships and the Technion’s pivotal role in shaping the state of Israel.
Student life at the Technion was anything but normal. Its covert resistance to the British Mandate increased. It was in the basements of the Technion, where the Haganah produced explosives. Many teachers and students were members of the Haganah and contributed to the operations.
